Alicia Macdonald received her ballet training from Mimi Ferrell under the Royal Academy of Dance method through the advanced level and spent summers at Boston Ballet School. She then danced professionally for Ballet New England, Granite State Ballet, and Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre while going to school for a certification in muscular therapy. She then returned to the Royal Academy of Dance method for teacher training and received a teacher’s certificate with a distinction in the year 2000.
Macdonald had since owned and operated Ballet Arts in Georgetown, Massachuestts, where she entered students into the RAD exams with great success. Recently two students qualified and took place in the Phyllis Bedelles Bursary Competition held at the RAD headquarters in London, England. Macdonald also has a Power Pilates Mat Certification.
