Laurel began her classical ballet training at the age of six with Northern California Ballet in Paradise CA. She spent her summers on scholarship with Houston Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and Boston Ballet. Laurel continued her training in Seattle, Washington with Dennis Marshall and Marjorie Grundvig at the Washington Academy of Performing Arts. She performed roles in ballets including Paquita, The Nutcracker, and Cinderella as well as original classical and contemporary works by Sonja Dawkins, Bruce Wells, John Mello, Melissa Gould, and Tara Cluck.
Laurel recently directed the successful ballet program at Hype Dance Studio in Chico, CA for 4 years. She has also taught at the Washington Academy of Performing Arts and Northern California Ballet. Laurel has also directed and taught the Pre-K through second grade classroom at The Progressive Schollhouse in Chico, CA for 7 years.
Laurel joined the faculty of Boston Ballet School in the fall of 2011.
