Joined Boston Ballet in 2008
Alison Basford, of Brooklyn, New York, trained at the School of American Ballet. Basford was a member of the Pacific Northwest Ballet prior to joining Boston Ballet as a company dancer in 2008.
Basford’s repertoire includes George Balanchine’s Divertimento #15, Jewels, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Concerto Barocco, Theme and Variations, and Serenade; Kent Stowell’s The Nutcracker and Swan Lake; Peter Martins’ Fearful Symmetries; Marius Petipa’s Don Quixote and Paquita; Jerome Robbins’ Fanfare; and Christopher Wheeldon’s Scenes de Ballet.
