Beau Fisher grew up in San Diego, California. He began his training at San Diego Academy of Ballet at age 11. He studied under the instruction of former Bolshoi principle Maxim Tchurnychev and his wife Sylvia Tchurnychev.
In 2008 he received a scholarship to dance at the Washington Ballet School in Washington, DC. In 2009 he received scholarships to ABT’s Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School, Princess Grace Academy of Dance in Monte Carlo, and Washington Ballet School in Washington, DC. Then, in 2011 he was offered a position with ABT’s Studio Company under the current direction of Franco De Vita and ABT artistic director Kevin McKenzie.
He has danced in countless Nutcracker performances, performing the roles of Snow King Pas de Deux, Cavalier, Russian Variation, Spanish Variation, Battle Scene roles, and Party Scene roles. He performed the Snow King Pas de Deux with ABT soloist Hee Seo in the 2008 and 2009 San Diego Academy of Ballet Nutcracker performances. Fisher also danced the roles of Black Swan Pas de deux from Swan Lake, Golden Idol from La Bayadere, Wedding Pas de deux from La Bayadere, Pas de Trois from Paquita, Toreador, Gypsy, Variation from Don Quixote, Variation from Raymonda, Blue Bird Variation from Sleeping Beauty, and Slave Variation from Le Corsaire. Fisher also competed in the Youth American Grand Prix dance competition in 2008 and 2009.
