Joined Boston Ballet in 2010
Ekaterine Chubinidze is from Georgia. She joined Boston Ballet as a company dancer in 2010. From 1996 to 2004 Chubinidze attended the V. Chabukiani Tbilisi State Choreographic School, and upon graduating enrolled in the Tbilisi Z. Paliashvili Opera and Ballet State Theater. Chubinidze then joined Turkey’s Samsun Devlet Opera Ve Balesi company as a principal dancer. Chubinidze was hailed by Voice of Dance for her “velocity and charm” on stage.
Her repertory includes Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Giselle, Laurencia, Serenada, Apollo Musagete, Chaconne, The Flower Festival in Genzano, Second Before the Ground, Green, Leah, The Nutcracker, La Fille Mal Gardee, Two Pigeons, Western Symphony, Mozartiana. She danced the principal roles of Sheherezada in 1001 Nights, and Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
