Joined Boston Ballet in 2004
Kimberly Uphoff began her training in Olympia, Washington at the age of seven.
She continued her training in Killeen, Texas with Margaret Newcomb and Renee Gillenwater.
From 1998 to 2002 she was a scholarship student at the Kirov Academy in Washington, DC, where she studied with Jacqueline Achmedowa, Alla Sizova, Nicolai Morozov, and Adrienne Dellas.
She has also studied with Michael Bjerknes at the American Dance Institute in Rockville, Maryland.
In 2002, Uphoff attended Boston Ballet’s Summer Dance Program and was asked to join Boston Ballet II for the 2002-2003 season.
She was promoted to the corps de ballet in 2004.
In addition to ensemble roles in ballets including George Balanchine’s Serenade and Divertimento No. 15, Bronislava Nijinska’s Les Noces, and Marius Petipa’s Raymonda, Act III, Uphoff has appeared as the Crystal Fountain Fairy in Petipa’s The Sleeping Beauty, Marzipan in Mikko Nissinen’s The Nutcracker and danced the Spanish variation in Nissinen’s Swan Lake.
