Joined Boston Ballet in 2011
Patrick Yocum began his ballet training in his home state of Pennsylvania. After graduating high school, he continued his training with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School before joining Boston Ballet's Trainee Program as its Sydney Leonard Scholar. Yocum joined Boston Ballet II in 2009. While in BBII, he performed in Jorma Elo's Plan to B, Pointe Off and Carmen/Illusions. He also danced works by August Bournonville, including Napoli Pas de Six and Le Conservatoire.
Yocum joined the corps de ballet in 2011, and was promoted to Soloist in 2015. He has appeared in Frederick Ashton's Cinderella, Rudolf Nureyev's Don Quixote, Florence Clerc's La Bayadère, Marius Petipa's The Sleeping Beauty (Puss 'n Boots), John Cranko's Romeo and Juliet (Carnival King), and Mikko Nissinen's Swan Lake (Pas de Cinq).
Yocum has been featured in leading roles in neoclassical and contemporary works including George Balanchine's Episodes, José Martinez's Resonance, Val Caniparoli's Lady of the Camellias (Dream Pas de Deux), Jiří Kylián's Symphony of Psalms, William Forsythe's The Second Detail, and Victor Plotinkov's Swan.
