        Boston Ballet School Arts Administration Internship

        JOB TITLE: Boston Ballet School Arts Administration Internship
        DEPARTMENT: Boston Ballet School
        REPORTS TO: Studio Manager

        TERM: Filled

        Description of Program:

        Boston Ballet School is the largest ballet school in North America with programs for students ages 2-adult during the school year and summer. It has three locations in Boston, Newton, and Marblehead. Internships are available in all three locations.

        Description of Position:

        A Boston Ballet School internship is an opportunity to learn the inner workings of a non-profit arts organization. Interns with Boston Ballet School serve as integral team members assisting the full-time and part-time staff with daily operations as well as long term goals. Benefits include free performances and free ballet classes.

        The primary roles and responsibilities of interns include providing customer service to parents and students, marketing programs to prospective students, program implementation, general office operations, record keeping, database management, special event planning and other projects as assigned. 

        Qualifications:

        1. Interest in customer service and non-profit management and/or arts administration
        2. Excellent communication skills
        3. Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
        4. Flexibility, positive attitude, and good work ethic
        5. Strong attention to detail
        6. Ability to work independently, and as a member of a team

        Salary: Unpaid. Interns may receive academic credit for participation in Boston Ballet’s internship program.
