Mr. Martinez was a dancer with Compania Nacional de Danza (Spain), and Ballet Royal de Wallonie (Belgium) . His performance experience is diverse including works of Petipa, Fokine, Balanchine, Jiri Kilian, Hans Van Manen, Nacho Duato, Vicente Nebrada, Alberto Alonso and Ana Sokolow among others.
Francisco Martinez received his Ballet Degree from the Royal Conservatory of Dance in Madrid (Spain). He is also graduated from the Dance Education Laboratory at the 92nd street Y Harkness Dance Center in New York City.
Mr. Martinez was a rehearsal director for Ballet Hispanico of New York from 1996 to 2000 and has been a guest teacher for Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal, BJM Danse- Ballet Jazz de Montreal, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Compania Nacional de Danza (Spain), Boston Ballet, Cedar Lake, The Juilliard School, Jacob's pillow Dance Festival and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago .
He has been also a faculty member of Sarah Lawrence College, Joyce Theater Educational Program, Long Island University, Peridance, Dance Masters of America, Boston Ballet Summer Dance Program and he is currently on the faculties of The Ailey School, BAE, Marymount Manhattan College and Julliard as a Ballet instructor.
