Pixley Schiciano first danced with the Pittsburgh Ballet at the age of 10 in Petrouchka and continued her training at Pittsburgh Ballet School, Walnut Hill School, and North Carolina School of the Arts.
She performed with a small ballet company in Philadelphia before moving to New York where she enjoyed dancing in musicals on and off Broadway as well as many touring companies. Ms. Schiciano performed under the direction of Agnes de Mille and Lee Theodore with the American Dance Machine. She later worked with Onna White in The Wizard of Oz where she played the role of Dorothy at Radio City Music Hall.
Mrs. Schiciano has choreographed and directed Snow White and Enchanted Sleeping Beauty for Wellesley Summer Theatre for Children and restaged some of Bob Fosse’s choreography for the Wellesley College Dancers.
In the past, Mrs. Schiciano sat on the Board of Trustees at Walnut Hill School, and on the arts enrichment committee for the Tenacre Country Day School. She is delighted to be a part of this wonderful program.
