Boston Ballet is pleased to announce a challenge grant to support our activities:
- on the stage - world renowned artistry,
- in the studio - Boston Ballet’s internationally recognized School, and
- in the community – inspiring and educational outreach programs serving our community and enriching the lives of thousands of children
The Blumenthal Family has generously offered a three-part challenge grant to match contributions up to a total of $1 million. Whether it is unrestricted support or a designated budget-relieving gift to one of the many Education, Outreach or Production Sponsorship Opportunities, the impact of your gift will be doubled.

The challenge seeks to expand participation among Boston Ballet school families, company supporters and civic leaders. Whether you are a new or long-time supporter, please consider increasing your commitment to Boston Ballet to help us take full advantage of this generous challenge grant. Gifts may be applied to the following:
• Annual Fund Match of up to $250,000
Incremental increases in giving by existing donors to Boston Ballet's Annual Fund as well as gifts from new and lapsed donors will be matched dollar-for-dollar under the Challenge Grant.
Friends gifts from $35 to $1,999
Benefactors’ Circle Gifts of $2,000 or more
Young Partners Membership begins at $250
• Boston Ballet School Annual Fund Match of up to $250,000
Gifts towards the Boston Ballet School Annual Fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to a total of $250,000 and all donations count towards the giving levels listed above.
• Major Gifts ($25,000 and above) Match of up to $500,000
Major gifts will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $500,000.
