Dance education at Boston Ballet includes opportunities for all to dance, observe, reflect, express ideas with movement, search and reach beyond the familiar to find what is new, and profit from being a part of a diverse community of people passionate about dance.”
The first steps in one’s dance education can develop to include a keen awareness of what an informed mind and schooled body can do. It may begin in the audience, progress to the studio as a student or a teacher, evolve to the stage as performer, advance to creating choreography and, over time, stretch into literature as a reader, researcher, writer or critic.
At Boston Ballet we believe that quality experiences in the performing arts for students and audiences alike must be rich, challenging, empowering, and must personally engage the learner in not only physical, but also social, cognitive and personal ways.
