        Offsite Ballet Programs:
Boston Ballet School now offers Creative Dance and Pre-Ballet classes at Hill House Community Center, located on Beacon Hill, downtown Boston.  Experience the many advantages offered by a professional dance school in your own neighborhood.  Boston Ballet School’s pre-school dance curriculum introduces girls and boys to the joy of dance, fosters their natural creativity, and builds an excellent foundation for formal training.  Boston Ballet School faculty members are selected for their nurturing approach to teaching, and experience with early childhood dance education.  Pianists provide live piano accompaniment, enhancing the creative process and musical learning component of every class.

        CREATIVE DANCE, 3 & 4 yr. olds
Creative Dance focuses on fun, coordination, motor skill development, musical awareness, spatial awareness, listening skills, and the development of a child's natural creativity. Children are taught the joy of dancing and imagining in a safe, nurturing environment.  Taught once a week for 45 minutes. (Toilet training is mandatory; no pull-ups allowed).

        PRE-BALLET, 5 & 6 yr. olds
Students begin a more formal study of classical ballet through age-appropriate skill development, creative expression, music appreciation, and the relationship between music and dance. The importance of stretching, creativity and an introduction to basic ballet vocabulary are important components of Pre-Ballet classes.  Taught once a week for 45 minutes.
