Newton - Classical Ballet Program
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Mrs. Gregori moved to Boston two years ago.
Along with her twenty-six years of experience as a professional dance teacher, Mrs. Gregori has assisted in the production of a variety of full-length ballets, such as Giselle, The Nutcracker, Coppelia, Sleeping Beauty, etc; as well as in the staging of many other shorter suites and children’s performances.
She is proficient and certified in the Cuban (Escuela Nacional de Ballet), English (Royal Academy of Dance), and Russian (Vaganova Academy) methodologies for the teaching of ballet and also a certified teacher for the American Ballet Theatre’s National Training Curriculum from Primary through Level 7 & Partnering.
For seven years, Mrs. Gregori directed Escola Paulista de Dança, in São Paulo, Brazil, where she was also choreographer, producer, costume and scenery designer for a total of eight ballet productions. During her tenure there, Mrs. Gregori expanded on her pro bono project “Growing with Dance”, which she created in 1996 as an outreach program for the instruction of ballet to more than 500 underprivileged children from the peripheries of São Paulo. A component of “Growing with Dance” was a special program devoted to children with disabilities.
Mrs. Gregori speaks four languages, is married and has two children.
