Marblehead - Children's Program
Jennifer Scott began studying dance at age 4 at the Dance Prism in Concord, MA. Jennifer has an enduring relationship with the Boston Ballet School, having studied from 1987-1995, performing in a number of Boston Ballet Company performances, including The Nutcracker.
After the Boston Ballet School, Jennifer went from the to the Ballet Academy in Arlington, MA under Frances Kotelly, to studying dance with the Bradford College with an audition only company. Jennifer transferred to the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, graduating in 2003 with a degree in English Communications.
Jennifer taught children's classes including Creative Dance, Rhythm and Movement and Pre-Ballet for several years for the Boston Ballet North Shore location.
Watching kids learn and grow as “little dancers” is what inspires her to teach. She hopes to pass along the love for dancing she learned as a child. She has a daughter, Isabella, 17 months, who is already a budding dancer.
Jennifer will now be joining the group to teach at the new Marblehead school and facility to teach children’s dance classes.
In addition to the ballet Jennifer has choreographed several local musicals in the last 10 years.
