        Student Life

Situated on a gorgeous harbor that opens to the Atlantic Ocean, Boston and its surrounding communities combine the appeal of a summer resort town with the cultural resources of a world-class city.

Boston Ballet School students can explore Boston's wide array of entertainment and recreational opportunities including performances in Boston's Theatre District, cruises in Boston Harbor, walking the historical Freedom Trail, attending free performances on the Esplanade, shopping at Quincy Market, and more.

In the Summer Dance Program, relaxing and casual evening activities help students wind down from a long day of dancing and cultivate friendships. Weekends are highlighted by organized trips around Boston and creative events at the dormitory, such as dances, talent shows and theme nights, allowing students to celebrate great times with new friends.

In the Winter, students often plan trips to the theater to watch Boston Ballet company, and a number of other dance, music, and theater performances in Boston’s Theatre District.
