Led by Boston Ballet Schol's expert faculty, SDW provides exceptional ballet training while allowing students to also explore the wider world of dance through an enriching curriculum.  Students may choose the half or full day program with extended care hours available.

Morning classes focus primarily on ballet, including technique, classical repertoire and pointe for the most advanced students.  The afternoon enrichment program includes modern and choreography, dance conditioning, jazz, musical theater and character.  SDW culminates with an in-studio presentation for family and friends.

On the first day of the program all students will be evaluated and placed in the appropriate level.

Please call 617.456.6263 for more information.

        • Is there an end-of-program performance?
          There is an end-of-program presentation.

Will snack or lunch be provided?
No, students are responsible for bringing their own nutritious lunch or snack with them. In consideration of other students, we request that you do not send your child with foods containing nuts.

We are traveling to the Boston area for this program, where can we stay?
Families are responsible for making their own housing arrangements but we have some suggestions, check them out here >>

How do I register for the extended care option and what will my child be doing?
An additional extended care registration form is included in SDW registration packets. You have the option of registering for the morning (8-9AM), evening (4-6PM) or both. The children will be supervised by a Boston Ballet School administrator and will be engaged in activities such as board games, arts n crafts, ballet history and movies.

Our summer plans have changed. How do I withdraw my child from your program?
Please contact the Office of Administration immediately at 617.456.6267 in order to make the necessary adjustments. All notices of intent to withdraw must be done in writing. Tuition is non-refundable after May 31, 2010 unless for medical reasons as documented by a physician's notice. A $50.00 Early Withdrawal fee will be charged for all withdrawals prior to May 31, 2010.

Why is class eligibility based on September 1, 2010 date of birth?
Eligibility in our school year program is based on a student’s age as of September 1st. We set our summer program age requirements based on the school year so that students may continue their ballet training with the same peer group.

What is the Wait List policy?
Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. If the program has reached its maximum capacity when we receive your registration paper work, you will be notified by phone and/or email and placed on the waiting list. If a spot becomes available in the class, you will be notified and will have to confirm if you would like to join the class at that time. No money will be processed until you receive a place in the class.
