Summer Dance Program - Boston
Weekend Activities

In addition to dorm activities or events sponsored by the city of Boston for the public, Boston Ballet plans larger optional weekend outings for all students. The tickets are pre-purchased through the Boston Ballet. Members of the residential staff attend the activities as chaperones and all transportation is provided. Activities are optional, and are filled on a first come first served basis, so space is limited. Fees for Weekend Activities range from $30 to $80 per ticket. Students have the opportunity to go on any or all of the eight exciting weekend activities. Last year's activities included:

  • A day trip to Provincetown on Cape Cod to experience a culturally diverse town and visit one of the National Seashore's beaches
  • A hilarious and interactive visit by renowned comedy hypnotist Alan Sands
  • Performances by the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company and Alonzo King's Lines Ballet at the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival in the Berkshires
  • A performance by the exciting and always original Blue Man Group in Boston's theatre district
  • A fun and informative tour of Boston in an authentic World War II amphibious vehicle, called the "Boston Duck Tour"
  • A thrill-filled trip to Six Flags New England, where students have the opportunity to ride two newly unveiled rollercoasters
  • A Dinner Cruise at the end of the program allowing students to spend time with new friends they have made in the program
