Summer Dance Program - Newton
Housing and Meal Plan

Housing
Students are housed at Mount Ida College, a small private college campus in Newton, MA. The beautiful New England campus setting is just a few miles outside Boston and provides a focused environment for students to concentrate on their dance studies while also providing access to Boston.

Students will be able to participate in chaperoned off-campus outings.  Such options will include supervised, small group excursions for shopping, movies, or entertainment in the city of Boston, and also formal weekend activities with transportation provided by a chartered bus service. For the smaller excursions, the Boston subway, known as the "T," stops in Newton Center, providing easy (but controlled) access to downtown Boston for residential students.

Meal Plan
The resident student meal plan consists of a hot or cold breakfast, a midday bagged lunch, and dinner Monday through Friday. Brunch and dinner are provided on Saturday and Sunday. A sample lunch may include, (but will not be limited to), a salad or sandwich to-go, a piece of fruit, a whole wheat bagel, and a bottled drink.  The lunch will offer students the nutrition they need to maintain sufficient energy throughout a strenuous dance day, but some students may find that they need an extra snack in the afternoon.  Students will be able to walk to places near the studio for snacks.
