Through a unique partnership between the Boston Ballet and Boston's Children's Hospital Division of Sports Medicine, an expert on-site physical therapy unit is available for all students by appointment throughout the program. The fee for this service is included in the tuition.
Students receive expert care from the same physical therapists that work with Boston Ballet Company dancers. The physical therapy program at our Boston site is managed by Michelina C. Cassella. Heather Southwick heads the physical therapy team in Newton.   The physical therapists are experts on injuries seen most often in ballet dancers.

In addition to dance-related injuries, students occasionally become ill while they are away from home. Parents are always contacted immediately by the residence or administrative staff and are advised of the care options available. If needed, a resident advisor will escort students to Children's Hospital urgent care offices, or another health care facility requested by the parent.
