SPAIN TOUR 2007

Diary of the Tour
by Sarah Wroth, Boston Ballet corps de ballet member

Food of Spain

Here in Spain, they have a special treat.
It’s not real fancy and definitely not sweet.

When we first arrived mmm……..we could eat it everyday.
But that was 5 weeks past in Tenerife

First thing on the menu every place we go.
It’s ham and cheese “jamon y queso”

When work is done it’s the only thing they seem to ever make.
Easy fast and cheap, nothing there to bake.

Fancy spread, vending machine or even breakfast bar,
I promise you when you’re in Spain, it’s everywhere you are.

Fear not, we are so grateful when we all are fed.
Every meal, ham and cheese, and of course our daily bread.

A touch of longing is in our eyes with thoughts of home so pure.
All the different American foods we miss while we’re on tour.
