        Ritz Chocolate Bar

        Avery Bar's 'The Chocolate Bar'

As the temperatures....FINALLY!!....begin to drop in Boston [it's been a mild start to our winter thus far......], THE spot to gather and warm up with a decadent cup of steaming hot cocoa is at Avery Bar's 'The Chocolate Bar' at The Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common. Sterling, who oversees the bar at Avery Bar, is a master mixologist who whips up a delicious, steaming cup of cocoa, in addition to some of Avery Bar's signature cocktails and the Avery Ten [our version of the classic martini list.] And, of course, for adults only....Sterling is happy to spice up your hot cocoa with a spirit of your choice.

The Chocolate Bar is open Saturdays throughout the holidays - December 10, 17 and 24 from 2:00 - 4:00pm, and is the perfect spot to pop into for a break from holiday shopping at nearby Downtown Crossing. Even better...sip your hot cocoa and enjoy your all you can eat chocolate sweets in front of Avery Bar's magnificent, warm fireplace.
Cost is $28 per adult, $21 per child.

Max & Dylans Downtown is honoring both the holiday shoppers and The Nutcracker enthusiasts this year. The restaurant is offering a ‘Build Your Own Sugar Cookie’ for kids (which comes with two freshly baked sugar cookies, vanilla frosting and sprinkles) so they can stay busy while adults sip on a ‘Sugar Plum Fairy’ (severed in a champagne flute with a sugar rim, containing plum wine, champagne and a splash of cranberry). The best part? Anyone attending The Nutcracker who brings in the playbill gets 25% off food purchases.
