Ballet and Arts Exploration

Ballet and Arts Exploration combines the best of classical ballet and visual arts through a partnership between Boston Ballet School and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Collaborative activities in dance, music, and visual arts, encourage Ballet and Arts students to explore new artistic perspectives during the summer, while also taking a strong focus on traditional ballet technique. Projects emphasize a variety of skills, materials, and processes, such as concepts of space and, light and images, calligraphy, or musical scales. Embrace new art forms, keep an open mind, and be curious this summer.

Students 5-9 will end their experience with a trip to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Students ages 10-11 years old have the special opportunity to collaborate with Isabella Stewart Gardner Luminaries Skooby Laposky, film composer and field recordist, and Rayna Lo, calligrapher, and illustrator. Beginners welcome.
