1 class per week, 60 minutes
At the Primary level, students understand and can safely execute foundational ballet technique. The idea of “critical thinking” is strongly introduced at this age. Faculty continue to emphasize the specific “why” of ballet direction (i.e., why must students work with pointed feet in ballet? How do students properly point their feet?).
Engaging activities in the studio continue the safe development of turnout in the legs, pointed feet, and body alignment. These specific elements, as well as the platform to find joy in the dance studio make up the foundation for the continued study of ballet in the Classical Ballet Program.

If you are interested in joining the Children’s Program for the 23-24 school year please email school@bostonballet.org. Families who register by June 30 save 5% on 24-25 school year tuition.
