Anna Cox

Joined Boston Ballet School in 2016

Biography

Anna began dancing at the age of three in the Chicago area at Dance Center Evanston. While there, Anna studied ballet (with an additional concentration in the classical method of Cecchetti), modern, and jazz. She was a member of the Evanston Dance Ensemble under the direction of Béa Rashid and Christina Ernst. While with the Evanston Dance Ensemble, Anna was a teacher for Jump for Joy, a company-based dance program for children with disabilities.

Anna attended Boston University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree and Massachusetts teaching licensure in Special Education. While there, Anna continued her dance training and performed as a member of the Boston University Dance Theatre Group. She has also danced in a variety of performances through the Dance Complex in Cambridge, MA.

Anna currently teaches for the Adaptive Dance program and works as an elementary school inclusion facilitator/special educator for Newton Public Schools.
