Celia Watson

Biography

Celia Watson grew up outside of London, UK. Watson began dancing in 2013 where she participated in performances with Middlebury College Swing Dance in Middlebury, Vermont. Watson regularly dances with Boston Swing Central and JP Jitterbugs and has attended several swing dance trainings.

Watson graduated from Middlebury College with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and English Literature, and a minor in Education Studies. She has worked for a number of arts and education organizations, including Tectonic Theater Project, Portland Stage, Watertown Children’s Theatre, Newton Public Schools, and Underwood After School Program. Most recently, Watson served as the Community Education Coordinator for Boston Ballet School’s Education and Community Initiatives department. Watson has led several professional development trainings for Boston Ballet School’s Adaptive Dance Teacher Training, Berklee ABLE Assembly Conference, and Ballet Sun Valley. She is thrilled to continue working with the Adaptive Dance program as an instructor.

Watson’s career is focused on accessibility and inclusion in education and the arts. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Education in Inclusive Special Education at Lesley University, and is a graduate student teaching intern at Westwood Public Schools.
