Biography
Lara Bircak began her training at Charlotte Ballet Academy under the direction of Jean Pierre Bonnefoux and Patricia McBride. She continued her studies with Pacific Northwest Ballet School’s Professional Division. Bircak also attended short-term courses at the Paris Opera Ballet School, Royal Ballet School, and School of American Ballet. Bircak began her professional career with the Bayerisches Staatsballett in Munich, Germany, and later worked with the English National Ballet.
Her repertoire includes George Balanchine’s Allegro Brillante, Jewels, Raymonda Variations, Divertimento No. 15, Four Temperaments, and Who Cares?, Patrice Bart’s La Bayadère, John Cranko’s Romeo and Juliet, Derek Deane’s Swan Lake, Peter Wright’s Giselle, and Christopher Wheeldon’s Cinderella. She has performed neoclassical and contemporary works, including Jiří Kylián’s Lieder Eines Fahrenden Gesellen and UnBallo, Marco Goecke’s All Long Dem Day, and Hans van Manen’s Concertante.
Bircak performs with Boston Ballet as an Artist of the Company in 2025.
