ONE NIGHT ONLY

See the Next Generation of Stars

Join Boston Ballet School for Next Generation, an inspirational evening featuring elite young artists of Boston Ballet II, Boston Ballet School Graduates, and the Professional Division at Walnut Hill School for the Arts with orchestral accompaniment by the Next Generation Orchestra.

Next Generation is an inspiring evening with a program that honors Boston Ballet’s future and celebrates its legacy in dance education. This one-night-only performance will take place at the Citizens Bank Opera House on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 7 pm.

This year’s Next Generation program features Loss Pas de Deux from Love, Fear, Loss, Arianna Hughlett’s new work, set to a commissioned score by Wen-Ting Ong, Giselle Pas de Deux, and Classical Pas de Deux. The evening will also include the premiere of both Boston Ballet Principal Dancer Chyrstyn Fentroy’s, One And Then Another and former Boston Ballet Principal Dancer Paulo Arrais’s work, set to Tchaikovsky’s 5th horn solo, as well as excerpts from Ivan Liska and Marius Petipa’s Le Corsaire, including Le Jardin AniméPas de Deux, and select solos.

Next Generation is proud to support female students and professional dancers in developing choreographic skills, and invests in new innovative works by female artists. This performance includes choreography by two female artists – Chyrstyn Fentroy, Boston Ballet Principal Dancer, and Arianna Hughlett, former Boston Ballet School Graduate student.

Next Generation is underwritten by a generous gift from Donna and Michael Egan. Next Generation ticket sales directly support scholarships and financial aid for Boston Ballet School students.
