Biography

Sophia Jones began her early ballet training at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Texas. She joined Feijóo Ballet School in 2016 under the direction of Lorna Feijóo and Nelson Madrigal. She has attended summer dance programs with Feijóo Ballet School, Paris Opera Ballet School, and Boston Ballet School.

Her repertoire includes George Balanchine’s Symphony in Three Movements, Nelson Madrigal’s The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote, La Bayadère, Cinderella, La Sylphide, and Majísimo, Mikko Nissinen’s The Nutcracker and Swan Lake, Lídice Núñez’s Esperaré, The Wedding, and Bang Bang, and Yury Yanowsky’s Red Pen.

Jones competed in the 2024 Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) and was the Grand Prix winner of the Houston semi-finals. She was awarded third place in pas de deux at the YAGP Finals in New York City.

Jones joined Boston Ballet II in 2024.
