Next Generation is the annual, exciting one-night-only performance that empowers talented young dancers to reach for the stars. Featuring Boston Ballet II and Boston Ballet’s Donna Egan Graduate Program artists, and students of Boston Ballet School’s Professional Division at Walnut Hill School for the Arts, this is a performance of exceptional dance, showcasing rising talent in the dance world. These young dancers represent the next generation of talent, as they aspire to careers in professional dance companies.

Boston Ballet SUBSCRIBERS receive early access to tickets for Next Generation.

George Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco, Serenade, Scotch Symphony, and Walpurgisnacht Ballet
Excerpts from Marius Petipa’s The Sleeping Beauty, Le Corsaire, Paquita, Le Talisman, and Satanella
Excerpts from Jean Coralli and Jules Perrot’s Giselle
Christopher Wheeldon’s The American and This Bitter Earth
Original choreography by Boston Ballet Principal Dancers Lia Cirio and Paul Craig

 

Please note: Applications for the Next Generation Orchestra are not being accepted for the 2027 performance. Please check this page in Fall 2027 for updates regarding future opportunities with the Orchestra.
