Alexander Mockrish trained at the Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm before continuing his education at the American Ballet Theatre Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School in New York. He was a finalist at the Prix de Lausanne 2023, receiving the Contemporary Dance Award. In 2025, he won the Young Creation Award for his original piece Extinction.
His repertoire includes George Balanchine’s Valse Fantaisie, Sharon Eyal’s Bedroom Folk, Louis Joseph Ferdinand Hérold’s La Fille Mal Gardée, Natalja Makarova’s Giselle, José Martínez’s Donizetti, Marius Petipa’s Don Quixote and The Sleeping Beauty, Crystal Pite’s Solo Echo, Alexei Ratmansky’s The Seasons, Arthur Saint-Léon’s Coppélia, and Christopher Wheeldon’s Alice in Wonderland.
Mockrish joined Boston Ballet II in 2025.
