Spencer Wetherington began his dance training in New Jersey and continued his studies at the School of Philadelphia Ballet under the direction of Arantxa Ochoa and Angel Corella. Spencer also trained with the Moscow State Academy of Choreography, (Bolshoi Ballet Academy). In 2018 he joined Atlanta Ballet 2 and was promoted to Atlanta Ballet in 2020.
His repertoire includes George Balanchine’s Coppélia, Alexander Ekman’s Cacti, Johann Kobborg’s La Sylphide, Annabelle Lopez Ocho’s Coco Chanel: Life of a Fashion Icon, Lar Lubovich’s Elemental Brubeck, Gennadi Nedvigin’s Giselle, Yuri Possokhov’s The Nutcracker and Classical Symphony, Kiyon Ross’ Harmony of Opposite Tensions, Liam Scarlett’s Catch, Claudia Schreier’s Rite of Spring, Garrett Smith’s Corridors, Helgi Tommason’s 7 for Eight and Concerto Grosso, and Bruce Wells’ Swan Princess.
Wetherington joined Boston Ballet as an artist of the Company in 2025.
