Biography
Jake Marshall trained with Canada’s National Ballet School under the direction of Mavis Staines, on scholarship. He graduated in 2024 and joined Boston Ballet’s Donna Egan Graduate Program. During his training, he performed at the Gala des Écoles de danse du XXIe siècle, the Holland Dance Festival, and Fall for Dance North.
His repertoire includes Azure Barton’s Come In, Robert Binet and Esie Mensah’s The Call, James Kudelka’s Lay Dances, Mikko Nissinen’s Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, Marius Petipa’s The Sleeping Beauty, Crystal Pite’s The Seasons’ Canon, and Jera Wolfe’s Arise.
Marshall’s awards include the 2024 Jeffrey Kirk Award and the Peter Dwyer Award.
Marshall joined Boston Ballet II in 2026.
