The Dream

This program consists of two inspiring works that connect one of the most influential classical choreographers with an emerging new talent. In one program, experience Ashton’s The Dream and a world premiere by My’Kal Stromile. Spring Experience 2026

The 2026 Spring Experience is made up of three contrasting works that showcase the versatility of Boston Ballet dancers and the contrasting styles of contemporary ballet storytelling. Featuring Jerome Robbins’ Dances at a Gathering, William Forsythe’s Herman Schmerman, and Lia Cirio’s After, each ballet conveys unique portrayals of human interaction and connection.

The Sleeping Beauty

Deep in a century-long slumber, a beautiful princess and her kingdom await the power of true love’s kiss. The Sleeping Beauty enchants with a host of magical characters—from the deliciously wicked fairy Carabosse and the valiant Prince Desire, to the benevolent woodland fairies and hilarious Puss in Boots. This iconic production, with its sumptuous sets and costumes, will transport you to a world of beauty.

Fall Experience 2026

This contemporary program pairs two unforgettable ballets that invite audiences to experience dance in unexpected ways. Alexander Ekman’s Cacti brings humor, live music, and playful surprises to the stage, gently poking fun at how we interpret art while celebrating rhythm and precision. In powerful contrast, Akram Khan’s Vertical Road (Reimagined) 2023 draws audiences into an immersive journey of movement, ritual, and transformation, revealing the striking range of contemporary dance.

The Nutcracker

Mikko Nissinen’s The Nutcracker is a joyful holiday tradition that brings families and friends together to share the magic of live ballet. Coppélia

George Balanchine’s Coppélia is a charming story full of mischief, romance, and irresistible dance. Set in a bustling European village, the ballet follows the clever Swanilda as she untangles a comic mix-up involving her fiancé, an eccentric inventor, and a mysterious mechanical doll who may not be quite what she seems.

Spring Experience 2027

The 2027 Spring Experience brings together three George Balanchine masterworks—Gounod Symphony, Mozartiana, and The Four Temperaments—staged by Suzanne Farrell, one of Balanchine’s most celebrated muses. Through her deep personal connection to the choreography, audiences are invited to see these ballets with fresh clarity and insight, shaped by Farrell’s understanding of Balanchine’s musicality, style, and intention.

Boston Ballet On Tour

Boston Ballet touring performances bring the magic of dance to audiences far and wide, showcasing the company’s exceptional talent and artistry beyond the Citizens Opera House. With a repertoire that spans classical masterpieces to contemporary works, touring remains a significant aspect of the Company’s mission, furthering Boston’s engagement with the cultural life of communities at home and abroad.

In 2026, Boston Ballet will perform Vertical Road (Reimagined) 2023 and Cacti in Paris October 8–11, at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées for the third time, following historic tours there in 2019 and 2024.
