Biography

Alainah Grace Reidy began her training at Ballet Apetrei in Mandeville, Louisiana under the direction of Kelly and Constantine Apetrei. She continued her studies with New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, with Karl Condon, and New Orleans Ballet Theater, with Gregory and Marjorie Schramel. In 2017, Reidy joined Boston Ballet School’s Pre-Professional program and later joined Boston Ballet School’s trainee program in 2019.

Reidy’s repertoire with Boston Ballet School includes George Balanchine’s Allegro Brillante (principal role) and Chaconne, August Bournonville’s Konservatoriet, Igor Burlak’s Double Concerto and Fiddle Faddle, and Mikko Nissinen’s The Nutcracker and Swan Lake.

Reidy was a recipient of the Sydney Leonard Scholarship in 2017 and 2018. She was also honored with the 2019–2020 Mikko Nissinen Scholarship. In the summer of 2019, Reidy participated in Boston Ballet School’s exchange program with the Paris Opera Ballet School. She attended summer intensives at Boston Ballet School and The Sarasota Ballet.

Reidy joined Boston Ballet II in 2020. She joined Boston Ballet as an artist of the Company in 2022.
