Alexis Workowski trained at Orlando Ballet School for more than 10 years before beginning her professional career with BalletMet and United Ballet Theatre. Before joining Boston Ballet, she was a guest artist with English National Ballet for their production of Derek Deane’s Swan Lake in-the-round at Royal Albert Hall.
Workowski’s Boston Ballet repertoire includes Frederick Ashton’s The Dream (Cobweb), George Balanchine’s Emeralds (Pas de Trois), Diamonds (Soloist), Rubies, and Symphony in Three Movements, Lia Cirio’s After, Jorma Elo’s Le Sacre du Printemps, William Forsythe’s Herman Schmerman, Jiří Kylián’s Petite Mort, Jean-Christophe Maillot’s Roméo et Juliette (Nurse), Mikko Nissinen’s The Nutcracker (Sugar Plum Fairy), Raymonda (Henriette), Swan Lake (Pas de Trois, Cygnets), and The Sleeping Beauty (Princess Florine, Songbird Fairy), Crystal Pite’s The Seasons’ Canon, Claudia Schreier’s Slipstream, and My’kal Stromile’s The Leisurely Installation of a New Window (Synthesis Pas de Deux).
In 2022, Workowski won third prize at the ninth annual Helsinki International Ballet Competition. She is also a two-time gold medalist at the Miami International Ballet Competition, was awarded the Grand Prix at the Youth America Grand Prix Boston Regional, the silver medal at World Ballet Competition, and the Robert Joffrey/Gerald Arpino Grand Prix Legacy Award at Universal Ballet Competition.
Workowski joined Boston Ballet as an artist of the Company in 2024 and was promoted to second soloist in 2026.
