Boston Ballet touring performances showcase the Company’s exceptional talent and artistry beyond the Citizens Opera House. With a repertoire that spans classical masterpieces to contemporary works, touring remains a significant aspect of the Company’s mission, furthering Boston’s engagement with the cultural life of communities at home and abroad.

Boston Ballet in Paris

Boston Ballet will perform Vertical Road (Reimagined) 2023 and Cacti in Paris October 8–11, 2026 as the Company returns to the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées for the third time, following historic tours there in 2019 and 2024. Both tours were met with sold out houses and rave reviews, with critics writing “the company is truly brilliant!” (Bachtrack) and Boston Ballet is “an exceptional troupe overflowing with energy and capable of expressing themselves with excellence in different styles.” (Danses avec la plume).

Los Angeles

Boston Ballet closed out the season of Gloria Kaufman Presents Dance at the Music Center with Mikko Nissinen’s Swan Lake, a cornerstone masterpiece classical ballet about romance, enchantment, true love, and sacrifice, on stage from June 26–June 29, 2025.  This was Boston Ballet’s debut at The Music Center, alongside Urban Bush Women and Batsheva Dance Company.

Boston Ballet’s 2025 Los Angeles tour was made possible by a generous gift from the Lisa and Tom Blumenthal Artistic Innovation Fund.

Boston Ballet at Tanglewood

One of the world’s most beloved music festivals, Tanglewood is the famed summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and its training academy, the Tanglewood Music Center, as well as the Boston Pops. Boston Ballet performed George Balanchine’s Apollo alongside the Boston Symphony Orchestra on July 12, 2024.
