Biography

Kaitlyn Casey began her dance training at the School of American Ballet (SAB) in 2007. After graduating from SAB in 2015, she joined Semperoper Ballet in Dresden, Germany, performing corps de ballet, soloist, and principal roles. In 2021, she was promoted to Coryphée.

Casey’s repertoire includes Sir Frederick Ashton’s The Dream (Fairy), George Balanchine’s The Four Temperaments and Symphony in C (4th Movement), Pina Bausch’s Iphigenie auf Taurus, Stijn Celis’ Romeo and Juliet, David Dawson’s Giselle and Romeo and Juliet, Mats Ek’s Gamla Barn, Alexander Ekman’s Cacti (pas de deux) and COW, William Forsythe’s Impressing the Czar and The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude, Johan Inger’s Carmen, Kenneth MacMillan’s Manon, Nicholas Palmquist’s A Collection of Short Stories, Justin Peck’s Heatscape, Marius Petipa’s Paquita, and Aaron Watkin’s Don Quixote, La Bayadère, The Nutcracker (Marie, Marzipan), The Sleeping Beauty (Generosity Fairy, Jewels), and Swan Lake (Spanish Princess, Cygnets, pas de sept). 

Kaitlyn Casey joined Boston Ballet as an artist of the Company in 2023 and was promoted to second soloist in 2024.
