WanTing Zhao on Jorma Elo's Le Sacre du Printemps

Principal Dancer WanTing Zhao offers a compelling glimpse into rehearsing Jorma Elo’s Le Sacre du Printemps (The Rite of Spring), featured in Boston Ballet’s Winter Experience (March 5–15, 2026). In the studio, Elo’s choreography pushes her to new heights—demanding intense physicality, razor-sharp technique, and fearless expressiveness. WanTing describes the work as “refreshing, bold, and physical,” capturing the raw energy and modern power that define this striking ballet.
