Designed for students who have either completed the Intro to Ballet/Beginner Workshops or for those who already have the fundamentals of ballet. Students study simple barre and centre exercises, along with the concepts of turning and jumping.

A bridge between Beginner and Elementary. The vocabulary is increased through longer combinations at the barre and in the centre. We introduce the concepts of adagio and petit allegro as students develop their knowledge of ballet vocabulary.

A more challenging class for students who have completed Beginner or have had at least two to three years of prior ballet experience. Barre work includes balances in all positions, turning, and port de bras. Centre work includes the use of the body directions in combinations, with the beginnings of grand allegro (large traveling jumps).

Aimed at students with a complete knowledge of barre and centre work, or who have completed the Elementary level. We introduce more complex combinations of steps, and classes are taught at a faster pace.

Class designed for students who are either professional or former professional dancers, college students, or students who have completed the Intermediate level.  Classes are fast paced with challenging combinations at both the barre and centre.

Technique/ Variations

Immerse yourself in the world of classical ballet as you join former Boston Ballet Principal Dancer and former Principal of Boston Ballet School, Laura Young, for a unique Adult Dance Program class offering. In Technique and Variations Elementary-Advanced students will have the opportunity to expand their ballet knowledge in a new and exciting way. The beginning of class is dedicated to refining technique, and then students put their technique into action as they learn classical ballet variations.
