Biography
Kaleigh Burns began her dance training at the age of 2 years old at Paula Terenzi’s Dance Complex, where she was a competitive dancer and a studio assistant. She has studied many styles of dance including ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, acrobatics, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop. While being at her home studio, she has performed in Disney World, Hershey Park, Providence Bruins, and various other festivals and shows including Debbie Allen’s off-Broadway musical “Brothers of the Knight” in Boston.
In 2017, Burns graduated from the Dance Teachers Training course from the Dance Teachers Club of Boston. In 2019, she got the opportunity to train at the University of Buffalo along with Dance Masters of America, the Student Honors Intensive Program.
Burns graduated with a Bachelor of the Arts in Dance at Dean College. She is trained in different styles of dance from the basics of ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, improvisation, modern and dance pedagogy. While at Dean, she was President of the Pom Team where they competed at UDA New England and performed at many events on campus. Burns had gotten the opportunity to choreograph and perform in many shows on campus, including New Dancers Showcase, Arts Mosaic, Collaboration showcase, Choreographers Concert, Senior Showcase, and Dance Company.
Burns earned a teaching internship with Boston Ballet School in 2023. She was introduced to BBS’s community and teaches Preparatory Training and Adaptive Dance.
