Through the vision of Boston Ballet Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen, we inspire, develop and sustain a love of dance in every student. While excellence in ballet training is crucial to our mission, we believe that our job as arts educators goes well beyond technique. Our philosophy and curriculum support the development of the whole student within a nurturing, educational environment. The breadth and depth of the education we provide, coupled with the expertise and support of our faculty and connection to a world-class company, makes it possible for us to offer unparalleled ballet training and dance education programs of the highest quality for a wide range of students.
At Boston Ballet School we believe our classes are more than ballet technique; we believe enhancing your child’s education with an arts education is a large part of a child’s development and continues through to our adult students. Arts education have proven to increase cognitive thinking, problem solving and public speaking. We believe dance classes develop beyond tendus and pirouettes, it also fosters time management, collaboration with peers, confidence and more.
RESEARCH has also shown impressive benefits of arts education on entire school culture—especially student motivation, attitudes, and attendance. Numerous reports discuss the ways that increased access and involvement in arts education encourage students to stay in school, succeed in school, succeed in life, and succeed in work. Our students have been known to attend some of the most prestigious educational institutions, be more active in their school communities and continue to share the love of dance beyond their time with us.
We have ongoing enrollment for students of all ages beginning at 16 months through to adult. We hope you join us to continue to spread the love of dance!
