Adaptive Dance Program
At Boston Ballet School, dance moves beyond the barre. Our expert faculty nurture the entirety of our students, particularly within our Adaptive Dance Program. Students of all ages and abilities are welcomed into the BBS community, not only to learn foundational ballet technique, but also to develop a life-long love for movement, music, and the community. Our Adaptive Dance Program offers specialized, creative movement instruction for individuals with Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorders, as well as inclusive classes for students of all ages and abilities. Classes are taught by BBS expert faculty and supported by licensed physical therapists and professional musicians. Students engage and explore in a safe environment as they grow in movement and musicality.
23-24 New Student Registration
Adaptive Dance is a full school-year program that takes place on Saturdays and Sundays at our Boston and Newton studio locations. An intake interview is required for all new students and is held prior to enrollment. We use information from the intake interviews to make a placement recommendation. Once your student has been placed in a class, then we will let you know what times are available and send you information on how to register. Please email community@bostonballet.org to schedule an in-take interview.
