Foundations 1 is an exciting introduction to ballet where students learn about the progressive structure of a traditional ballet class. Classes are one hour each week, which facilitates the development of age-appropriate focus and the understanding of technique and safety. Students practice the basics of ballet vocabulary and movement as they learn to work with greater attention to detail in all areas including their posture, use of the legs and feet, port de bras, musicality, and spatial awareness that will support them throughout their ballet training.
