Preview | Alexander Ekman's Cacti
Playful, provocative, and irresistibly clever, Alexander Ekman’s Cacti invites audiences to laugh, listen, and experience dance in a whole new way. Sixteen dancers, a live orchestra, and a string quartet create a rhythm-driven world where movement, music, and humor collide—sometimes literally, as platforms become percussion instruments beneath the dancers’ feet.
With tongue-in-cheek narration and the unexpected appearance of cacti, the ballet gently pokes fun at our urge to analyze and explain art, reminding us that not everything needs a single meaning to be enjoyed.
