Benji Pearson trained at The Royal Ballet School and San Francisco Ballet School. He also trained under Fabrice Herrault in New York City from 2011–2014. Pearson began his professional ballet career in 2017 as an apprentice with San Francisco Ballet. He created roles in Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s Guernica, Alonzo King’s The Collective Agreement, and Myles Thatcher’s Panorama. Pearson has performed at San Francisco Ballet’s Unbound Festival and the Gala des Écoles de Danse du XXle Siécle in Paris. Pearson’s repertoire includes: Benjamin Millepied’s The Chairman Dances—Quartet for Two; John Neumeier’s Yondering (Jeanie), Justin Peck’s Rodeo: Four Dance Episodes, Jerome Robbins’ Opus 19/The Dreamer, Liam Scarlett’s Frankenstein, Helgi Tomasson’s The Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker (Jack in the Box, the Nutcracker doll), and Christopher Wheeldon’s Cinderella. Pearson joined Boston Ballet in 2018 as an artist of the Company.
