Caroline Cooper

Belmont, MA

Joined Boston Ballet School in 2023

Biography

Caroline Cooper received her dance training at Boston Ballet School, graduating in 2019. As a dancer and a teacher, Caroline continues to draw not only from the extensive grounding in classical ballet that she received at BBS, but also from her intensive training with Ms. Alla Nikitina in classical character dance. From her first character class, at age 10, this branch of classical dance has held a special place in Caroline’s heart, and it remains a focus for her now.

While still a student, she was invited to teach at BBS, and she has subsequently taught at Acton School of Ballet and at Franklin School of Ballet. Cooper graduated from Harvard University in 2023, with a major in Psychology, and a minor in Theater, Dance, and Media. In college, she danced with the Harvard Ballet Company, in addition to serving on the company’s board for three years, co-producing two shows, and choreographing for the company. She will perform with the City Ballet of Boston in their upcoming productions and has performed in Tony Williams’ Urban Nutcracker.

Caroline was delighted to return to BBS, now as a faculty member, in 2023, and she is thrilled to share her love and passion for dance.
