Biography

Crystal Serrano began her dance training at the Olympic Ballet School under Helen and John Wilkins, and later trained at the School of American Ballet. She joined the Professional Division at Pacific Northwest Ballet before joining Sacramento Ballet. She has also danced with Oregon Ballet Theatre and was a lead dancer with Ballet San Antonio and Dance Theatre of Harlem.

Serrano’s repertoire includes Gerald Arpino’s Round Of Angels (Principal), George Balanchine’s Allegro Brilliante, Donizetti Variations, Emeralds, La Source, Serenade, Symphony in Three Movements, and The Four Temperaments (Phlegmatic, Melancholic), Ulysses Dove’s Dancing on the Front Porch of, Robert Garland’s Return, Arthur Mitchell’s Tones II (Principal), Darrell Grand Moultrie’s Vessels, Annabelle Ochoa-Lopez’s Balamouk, Claudia Schreier’s Passage, Willy Shives’ Don Quixote (Kitri), Ben Stevenson’s Cinderella (Fairy Godmother, Summer Fairy), Swan Lake, Christopher Stowell’s The Sleeping Beauty, Dominic Walsh’s whistling (Angel), Stanton Welch’s Orange, and Christopher Wheeldon’s This Bitter Earth.

Serrano joined Boston Ballet as an artist of the Company in 2022.
