Biography

Hillary Desmond is a current senior at Dean College in the Joan Phelps Palladino School of Dance. Majoring in dance, she follows a pedagogy track and minors in psychology with an anticipated graduation date of May 2023. As a dancer, Desmond has grown up studying ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and hip hop under the direction of numerous teachers, including Jill Silverman, Russell Clarke, Kristina Berger, and Todd Shanks. She continues to perform in various shows at Dean throughout her final semester. Desmond plans to continue to explore dance in many different ways post-graduation, including education and performance.

Desmond began her time at the Boston Ballet School in August of 2022 with an internship in the school’s Ballet Arts and Exploration under the supervision of Luciano Aimar. From there, she accepted a position to continue exploring her newfound love for dance education.
