Biography
Margaret Leary began studying modern dance at the age of ten under the direction of Paula Meola in Sterling, MA. She continued her training through Keene State College, in New Hampshire, where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theater and Dance, with a specialization in choreography and performance, under the guidance of Marcia Murdock in 2014. She spent summers during her collegiate career, attending the American Dance Festival, at Duke University, where she trained through various contemporary and modern dance artists. Under the mentorship of Dione Noble and Elijah Gibson, Leary received her Master of Fine Arts Degree in Dance in 2017, from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. After relocating back to Massachusetts in 2017, she joined the faculty at Dean College in Franklin, MA where she taught as an Adjunct Professor of Modern Dance from 2017-2019. Currently, when not teaching modern dance to BBS students, Leary works as the Assistant Manager of Operations for Boston Ballet School.
